Richly layered oil painting inspired by the unsafe but beautiful Deadly nightshade. The muted tones contrast with the sharp, organic, vibrant greens and purples that stand out against the darker background. Glowing amidst the dark, fragmented space, this evokes a sense of resilience and survival.

deadly nightshade, Atropa belladona is incredibly toxic and can be fatal when ingested. To prevent children from touching the plant, it was said that if you picked it you would come face to face with the devil!

    Panel is 38mm deep

    Protected with a satin varnish which gives a light sheen.

    Signed certificate of authenticity attached on the back of the painting.
